Wilderness International is a nonprofit conservation group that exists to encourage everyone to care for, experience and enjoy God's amazing creation. Our members, supporters, friends and participants enjoy the great outdoors in many ways. This can range from hiking, photography, fishing, working on conservation projects, hunting, gardening, to any number of other choices. We organize outdoor activities and conservation projects for community organizations, churches and individuals that are intended for everyone to get involved in and enjoy. We also run at-risk youth work crews that reach out to young people facing life challenges in order to provide them with positive mentors and the chance to succeed. These crews complete much needed conservation work around our communities. On another note, we are producing multi-media presentations, newsletters, and magazines that give individuals around the world the chance to experience the creation in all of its Glory through diverse media.
In all of these activities, our desire is to give everyone the chance to connect with the Creator through His creation. Throughout history, quotes from many writers from various backgrounds have given testimony to the fact that God’s character and majesty are plainly seen by each one of us as we view the natural splendor of this world we live in.
For example, Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote - "Nature is too thin a screen; the glory of the omnipresent God bursts through everywhere"
Or the infamous quote from Dante - "Nature is the Art of God"
A quote from Bartholomew states - "A world in which God the Creator uses the material stuff of the universe to communicate who He is, is one that demands reverence from human beings"
The Apostle Paul penned the words - "For since the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made . . ."
We would like to encourage you to join us in furthering our work by becoming a member, joining us for an outdoor activity or just simply enjoying the presentations and information available on this web site. As a Christian conservation organization that operates from a biblical world view, we offer a unique and balanced perspective to the conservation and environmental movements. We hope you enjoy your visit to our web site and welcome your feedback at info@wildernessintl.com.
