Meet Our Board of Directors for 2010

Russ Hall - President / Executive Director

Russ was raised across the northwest United States enjoying many different outdoor activities. He holds a degree in Biomedical Electronics and a graduate certificate in Biblical Studies. After an 18-year career as a technical consultant and sales manager, he founded and is focusing his attention on Wilderness International. He has completed and continues to pursue continuing education in all sectors of nonprofit leadership and Wildlife / Conservation management. His passion is working for responsible conservation, helping others enjoy the outdoors, and pointing people to the creator of the great outdoors. Carl Lovick - Director of Operations / Webmaster

Carl grew up in northwest Montana where he enjoyed the many splendors of the great outdoors. He graduated from EWU with a degree in Management Information Systems and from the U of Idaho with a Masters in Adult Education. He has over 20 years experience as a technical consultant in PC/Lan support, as a corporate level trainer, and as a product manager. Carl brings his years of technical experience to also serve as our Webmaster. He lives in Post Falls, Idaho. Steve Meyer - Director of Multi Media Presentations

Steve grew up in the metropolitan Seattle area. He has spent over 25 years working in the Media and Broadcasting Industry. Steve works extensively with large broadcasting and production operations. He uses this diverse industry and business experience to help us with our presentations and business operations at Wilderness International. Nicolas Hall - Director of Outdoor Activities

Nic is an avid outdoor enthusiast who grew up in Oregon where he has served as a ski instructor, white water guide, swift water rescue technician, and rock-climbing instructor. He completed a year of biblical studies at Maui Bible College and is currently completing his bachelor's degree in Emergency Care Nursing at the University of Portland. Nic brings his vast outdoor adventure experience to serve as our lead guide/consultant at Wilderness International. Craig Dyk - Director Ministry and Church Communications

Craig grew up in different farming communities around the Pacific Northwest where he not only developed a love for farming but also enjoyed backpacking, rock climbing and white water canoeing. He has a technical degree in Electronics and a Bachelors of Science in Theology. Craig lives with his family in Portland where he works in the electrical industry. In addition to his electrical journeyman's license he holds several other high-level industry licenses. Craig brings a life of practical Bible knowledge and a heart for prayer to our board, he brings spiritual support, encouragement and balance.

Susan Barnes - Director of Conservation Projects

Susan grew up in New York where she developed a love and passion for the outdoors. At an early age she became an observer and enjoyer of the created natural world playing in the woods and in the creek behind her house. She pursued this passion into adulthood and received a B.S. in Wildlife Management with a minor in Forestry from the University of New Hampshire. Susan has worked for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) since 1998. Prior to joining the ODFW, she worked with The Nature Conservancy and the US Forest Service. Susan enjoys sharing her passion for the natural world with others, especially children. She works continually to educate and engage the general public with the ultimate goal of increasing the level of care, concern and positive stewardship.
