Mission Statement:
Wilderness International exists to encourage everyone to experience, enjoy, and care for God’s amazing creation.
Vision Statement: Most everyone has known the breath taking awe and inspiration we experience as we look upon a beautiful sunset, a whale breaching in the ocean, a snow covered mountain range or some other amazing scene in the natural world. These landscapes and scenes move the hearts of people all around the world. Why does this inspire humankind? Dante touched on the answer in his well-known quote:
“Nature is the Art of God”
Just as a piece of art gives us a view into the mind of the artist who made it, so the world around us opens a window for us to see into the nature of its Creator. If we seriously look at any part of creation, from the smallest cell to the most majestic mountain range, all of nature points us to the majesty of God.
"For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made."(Romans 1:20)
Here at Wilderness International, our desire is to help as many people as possible to experience the wonder and joy of nature.
Statement of Faith:
1. We believe in the divine inspiration, truthfulness and authority of both Old and New Testament Scriptures in their entirety as the only written Word of God, without error in all that it affirms, and the only infallible rule of faith and practice.
2. We believe that there is one God eternally existent in three persons--Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory.
4. We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for the salvation of lost and sinful man.
5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live an abundant and obedient life.
6. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ and that the Church, the Body of Christ, is God's institution.
