COMMUNITY CONSERVATION DAY

1. COMMUNITY CONSERVATION DAY:
When:
- April 30th 2011 9:30am - 3:30pm - Completed
Where: Meldrum Bar Park in Gladstone Oregon We will be removing invasive plants (Ivy and Blackberries) and spreading mulch as we prepare to plant native vegetation and restore native habitat at Meldrum Bar Park in Gladstone Oregon. Meet at the boat ramp parking lot by the Wilderness International canopy and sign. This is a continuation of a larger project started last year to build a “Native Habitat Demonstration Area” and then move on to larger areas that need restoration work in the park.

3nd ANNUAL FAMILY ECO-ADVENTURE

2. Mentoring At-Risk Youth
Where: Gladstone City Park
When: Each Saturday from 10am - 3:30pm On Going

We are mentoring At-Risk Youth each Saturday from 10am - 3:30pm at Gladstone City Parks. If this is something you are interested in supporting or participating in, pplease contact Danny Swor (503-553-9484) to sign up or get more information)

We will be doing a fall planting of native plants before the fall rains begin in order to continue our restoration of native habitat at Meldrum Bar Park in Gladstone Oregon. Meet at the boat ramp parking lot by the Wilderness International canopy and sign. Backpack Fish Stocking at Battle Lake

4. Backpack Fish Stocking at Battle Lake - DATE: May 21, 2011 - Completed

Project: ODFW Backpack Fish Stocking at Battle Lake (North Coast of Oregon) - We assisted with backpacking fish over one mile into Battle Lake on the north coast in Oregon. Click here for a report on the project.

5. Falls Park and Q'emiln Park in Post Falls ID
Dates: On Going

Project:Volunteers are needed to assist with trail maintenance, planting native plants and other basic tasks in Falls Park and Q'emiln Park in Post Falls, ID. To help, call Carl at 208-818-0840.

6. Owl Boxes for Highlands Golf Course - Post Falls ID
Dates: Completed

Project:Building Owl boxes and Bat Houses for the Highlands Golf Course in Post Falls, ID. To read about it, click here.

7. Kiwanis and Treaty Rock in post Falls
Dates: Completed

Project:Volunteers are needed to assist with trail maintenance, sanding / painting benches and tables and basic clean up of the Treaty Rock Park in Post Falls, ID. To read about it, click here.

8. BLM - Tree Farm 2011
Dates: Completed

Project: Cutting out non-native Scotch Brrom from a tree farm near Sandy OR. To read about it, click here.
